Frequently Asked

Common questions about ISPTD certification.

Who is eligible for ISPTD certification?

Anyone aged seven and above can enter at the Foundation level. Advanced programs require prior-level certification or an audition. Dance style is open — ISPTD assesses across classical Indian, contemporary, ballet, and more.

How long does each program take?

Foundation programs run 6–12 months. Each graded level takes around 9 months. The Performance Diploma is a two-year commitment. Timelines vary with practice hours and prior experience.

Where are ISPTD assessments held?

Assessments are held at ISPTD-approved centres across India, and at regional intensives. Some levels offer hybrid options — please contact us for current locations.

What does certification cost?

Fees vary by program. Scholarships and subsidised pathways are available for students from under-resourced communities. Share your city and program interest via the contact form for a current fee schedule.

Is ISPTD certification internationally recognised?

ISPTD certifications are designed with international frameworks in mind and are increasingly recognised for auditions, competitions, and further studies abroad. We continue to build formal recognition partnerships.

Can I prepare for ISPTD certification if my teacher isn't accredited?

Yes. Many students prepare independently or through ISPTD masterclasses. We also encourage teachers to join the accreditation pathway so their students can train locally.
